Using Smart Economic Positioning to Weather the Downturn
(Boonton, NJ, June 15, 2009) — An economic positioning committee can help minimize the impact that the current recession has on downtown and its businesses. Rich Williams, director of New Mexico MainStreet, says it all starts with carefully selecting committee members, and then tackling 10 core strategies. One of these is "Defining the critical need for cooperative advertising, marketing and promotions." Williams notes that, "Chief among collective business enhancement actions is joint advertising and promotions. Stress how businesses need to maintain visibility in a recession and they need their advertising dollars to go farther than ever."
The June 1 issue of Downtown Promotion Reporter details all 10 economic positioning approaches.
