Supporting Others' Events Helps Promote Downtown

Promoting other organization's events Downtown is a win-win for everyone.

(Boonton, NJ, June 1, 2010) — In Stockton, CA, as in most downtowns, there are many opportunities to partner with businesses, institutions, government agencies, and others. The approach of the Downtown Stockton Alliance (DSA) is to help attract events to downtown, then to support them with valuable services.

Some DSA support is free while there are charges for other work. For example, the DSA will provide its trained ambassadors to greet and direct people to events and to parking spots. The DSA maintenance staff can be contracted for site clean up before or after an event. The ambassadors can be hired to distribute marketing materials, and more. Further, the DSA will rent event equipment and handle printing chores.

The DSA requires that event sponsors pay for these services and support the downtown in less direct ways such as utilizing the downtown logo, and agreeing to patronize downtown businesses for needed goods and services.

In all, it's a broad array of support to help build great private events downtown, earn recognition for the DSA, and collect revenue for the valuable services provided. All terms and pricing are carefully spelled out in an eight-page agreement. To view the agreement visit our website and click on Web Extras.
