Long-term business leadership is key to downtown’s success

(Boonton, NJ, June 1, 2006) — In the 1970s, several downtown business leaders in Charleston, WV, met to determine what they could do to reverse the downward spiral that they saw threatening their downtown.

In the May 15 issue of Downtown Idea Exchange newsletter, Robert W. Bivens, explains what was needed for these leaders to be able to successfully hold together a 16-project program that extended over a two-decade period and accomplish every one of the projects.
